Starting in West and North Philadelphia in 1965–1967 with Darryl 'Cornbread' McCray (who famously tagged the Jackson 5's jet and a Philadelphia Zoo elephant) and Kool Klepto Kidd alongside Cool Earl, Tity, Cheech, Enem, Kadism, and Mecro, the Kings of Philly Graffiti (KPG) birthed modern wall writing and Philly's signature 'Wicked' tall-hand calligraphy.
