Jason Williams (REVOK) — MSK Co-Founder • Mechanical Letter Innovator & Assemblage Sculptor
Jason Williams, known globally as REVOK, is one of the most influential graffiti artists in contemporary history. Beginning in Los Angeles in 1990, he co-founded MSK (Mad Society Kings) and pushed letterforms to unprecedented technical complexity. His career encompasses historic street campaigns across Los Angeles and Detroit as well as critically acclaimed museum exhibitions at MOCA Los Angeles and international galleries.
“Graffiti is about pushing human kinetic energy into the urban environment. It's the refusal to be invisible in a landscape designed to commodify you.”
High-speed 4K time-lapse video documenting REVOK executing a massive mechanical wildstyle roller and aerosol production in an active downtown LA rail yard. Spotlights, can shakes, and razor-sharp line work captured in ultra-definition.
Constructed using salvaged Detroit architectural timbers and multi-can spirograph aerosol rigs, REVOK created this landmark relief sculpture combining kinetic aerosol marks with structural street history.
