THE FABULOUS FIVE // FBI

Lee Quiñones & Fab 5 Freddy's Legendary 1970s IRT Wholecar & Hip-Hop Vanguard

CREW MANIFESTO & LINEAGE

Ten whole-cars Nose-to-Tail on the Broadway 2 Line—bridging subway art, punk, and hip-hop.

The Fabulous Five (Fab 5) made history in the late 1970s by painting an entire 10-car IRT subway train and starring in Wild Style. Led by Lee Quiñones, Fab 5 Freddy (Fred Brathwaite), Doc, Mono, and Slave alongside Futura 2000 and Zephyr, they took NYC graffiti to Rome, Paris, and the world.
