DON'T STOP BOMBING // NYC ALL-CITY

1980s–1990s NYC Clean Train Era & Highway Billboard Domination

CREW MANIFESTO & LINEAGE

INSTAGRAM: @dontstopbombing ↗

Never stopping until every rooftop, highway sign, bridge beam, and clean train speaks our name.

Formed in the mid-1980s as the MTA clamped down on subway graffiti, Don't Stop Bombing (DSB) revolutionized New York City street bombing by taking over impossible spots: expressway overpasses, sky-scraping billboards, suspension bridges, and clean train yards. DSB members like Cost, Revs, and Sane redefined the scale and audacities of guerrilla street art.

Adam COST began painting NYC transit steel in the mid-1980s before joining forces with REVS to execute what is widely regarded as the most prolific, omnipresent guerrilla street art and wheatpaste campaign in New York City history. Co-founding Don't Stop Bombing (DSB), COST blanketed bridges, billboards, roll-down gates, and high-level highway spots across all five boroughs.

Partnering with COST in DSB, REVS tagged, rolled, wheatpasted, and welded welded-steel sculptures directly into public infrastructure, and spent years writing hundreds of numbered diary pages deep within NYC subway and railway tunnels.
