Brooklyn Late-80s & 90s Street, Rooftop & Transit Powerhouse
Brooklyn style discipline, razor-sharp handstyles, and all-borough rooftop dominance.
Formed in Brooklyn in the late 1980s, Beyond Your Imagination / Brooklyn Youth Idols (BYI) became a defining force in NYC's transition from subway cars to street gates, rooftops, and highway walls, led by Chino BYI, Keo (Scotch 79), Jee, Nekst, Trim, and Atco.

Lord Scotch 79 / KEO X-MEN is a Brooklyn graffiti purist and Crew Admin of the legendary X-Men (founded with the late Dez / DJ Kay Slay) and member of TC5. Beyond four decades of NYC train and street writing, Keo illustrated the iconic cover art for MF DOOM's 'Operation: Doomsday'.

Sean 'NEKST' Griffin (1978–2012) is revered worldwide as one of the most fearless, prolific, and stylish bombers of the modern era. Representing Made U Look (MUL), Mad Society Kings (MSK), and AWR, Nekst conquered impossible skyscraper rooftops, billboards, water towers, and freights from Houston and Chicago to New York and Los Angeles.

JEE ONE is a revered New York City bomber representing Kings Destroy (KD), BYI, and RTW, renowned for crushing clean-era subways, BQE highways, and five-borough gates.

CHINO BYI (David Villorente) is a Brooklyn graffiti legend, co-founder of BYI, longtime editor of The Source's 'Graf Flix' column, co-author of the Piecebook series, and curator.

MINT & SERF (MIRF) are a renowned New York graffiti duo associated with Brooklyn's BYI lineage, famous for raw Canal Street and Soho bombing and large-scale gallery canvases.
