Alex 'DEFER' Kizu is a co-founder of K2S (Kill 2 Succeed) and a central figure in STN (Second To None) and CBS. Emerging in the mid-1980s alongside Prime, Rick One, and Crime, Defer evolved classic Los Angeles plaqueaso and wildstyle lettering into dense, rhythmic typographic abstractions exhibited at L.A. Louver and MOCA.

“The rhythm of the handstyle is a direct extension of your pulse—once you master the letter structure, it becomes a visual cadence.”
