Nelson Rivas, writing as Cekis, pioneered the post-dictatorship graffiti renaissance in Santiago during the mid-1990s. Merging traditional Chilean political mural brigade techniques with aerosol wildstyle, Cekis painted iconic pieces across the Mapocho river walls before moving to Brooklyn, where his fragmented human migrations and architectural murals continue to stun.
