Dondi White's East New York BMT Subway Dynasty Since 1976
Precision letterforms and unforgettable whole-car stories rolling out of East New York.
Founded in Brooklyn in 1976 by Dondi White and Hurst alongside Duro and Aeron, The Odd Partners (TOP) worked hand-in-hand with CIA to paint landmark BMT whole-cars featured in Subway Art.

Born in Brooklyn in 1962, Chris 'DAZE' Ellis began painting New York City subway cars in 1976 while attending the High School of Art and Design. A key member of Crazy Inside Artists (CIA), The Cool 5 (TC5), and TATS CRU collaborator, Daze was one of the first subway writers to transition successfully into international galleries alongside Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

Donald Joseph 'DONDI' White (1961–1998) founded Crazy Inside Artists (CIA) in 1978 and shaped the foundation of modern style writing. His iconic whole-car productions 'Children of the Grave' Parts 1, 2, and 3—immortalized by Martha Cooper and Henry Chalfant in 'Subway Art'—remain the gold standard of New York subway graffiti.

Lin Felton (QUIK) began writing on Queens and Manhattan subway lines in the early 1970s and became a core force in Rolling Thunder Writers (RTW) and The Odd Partners (TOP). His incisive character work and whole-car burners bridged the NYC subway yards with permanent museum collections across Europe and the United States.
